The first brasseries were established after the Franco-Prussian War from 1870 until 1871by refugees from the Alsace and Lorraine. It concerned lively meeting places, in which various kinds of beer, but also classic wines alike Riesling, Silvaner and Gewürztraminer were served.
The most popular dish on the menu was sauerkraut. Another special favorite dish served was a large seafood platter. The Ganymed Brasserie keeps this typical French tradition of unconstrained pleasure alive and is complementing the menu constantly with new, delicate creations from our chef de cuisine.
